Housing Up is pleased to welcome our newest Project Manager to the Affordable Housing team! Samuel J. Brunt is a native Marylander, who brings decades of experience from South Florida and Maryland working with non-profit organizations and as a licensed general building contractor.

A proud graduate of Howard University, BA ’83, Samuel also has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore, MPA ’85 (Financial Administration). Samuel has done work on some big projects, including serving as a site developer and general building contractor for the 6.5 acre Community Bible Baptist Church Project in Miami, Florida. He received his general contracting license in 2008, and is currently taking an online course that will lead to his PMP Certification. These credentials will contribute towards his role moving affordable housing projects forward.

A proud father and grandfather, Samuel is married to his high school sweetheart Patricia Diane Williams, and serves as a licensed Baptist Minister in Florida and Maryland. An eternal optimist, Samuel believes in self-improvement, and is always reading about, or listening to something informative, inspirational, or upbeat that will improve his people skills and personal productivity.  As a student, from elementary school through college, he excelled, but he keeps in mind his father’s admonishment that there is always room for improvement.  He believes that we are all blessed with unique talents and abilities to serve others, and likes to quote the late motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”
