We are excited to announce that Frank Demarais will be joining THC as our Interim Executive Director starting January 1, 2015.

For over 20 years, Frank has been involved in family housing and mortgage finance at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In 2003, Frank joined Manna to establish Washington, DC’s first nonprofit mortgage company, an organization that assists low and moderate income people to fulfill their dream of homeownership. Additionally, Frank has been a THC board member since 2003 and has served as Treasurer and on the Executive Committee.

Bob Leland, current THC Board Chair, says Frank has the background to keep THC moving in the right direction and to make a positive impact on the organization and the families it serves. As a long time board member and experienced non-profit executive, Frank is well versed on THC’s programs and finances.

Sharing his excitement Frank stated that “THC is at the forefront of housing for homeless and low income families in Washington, DC. Their innovative ways of addressing the critical issue of homelessness make me proud to have been a director and excited to serve as the Interim Executive Director. I

look forward to working with THC Staff and supporters in the coming months to help in this timely effort to end family homelessness.”
