Staff Spotlight: Nicole Franklin, Therapist
This year, THC kicked off our Futures program. This financial literacy workshop series and experiential learning opportunity is focused specifically on supporting girls and young women as they enter the workforce by giving them the tools to financial stability and the real-world experience to pursue their education and employment goals. Staff members from THC’s Clinical Services and Employment Services teamed up to create this exciting new program. Over the next couple of weeks, you can learn about the staff leading this effort with our Staff Spotlights. This week, get to know Nicole Franklin, THC’s full-time Therapist!
Tell us about yourself
I am originally from San Diego California and came to DC in order to attend graduate school at Howard University. I have lived in DC for six years. Before THC, I worked for a Collaborative in Ward 8; that was where I was introduced to the homeless population. After learning of the homeless crisis in DC, I wanted to help and so that is what brought me to THC.
