Living in the City | Know Before You Go
It is just one day until we gather for our Living in the City Benefit! We are looking forward to celebrating 25 years of housing families, transforming lives and building community with you!
Living in the City will take place at the Mead Center for American Theater (Arena Stage) which is located at 1101 Sixth Street SW, Washington, DC, 20024. Registration will begin at 6:30pm,
and there will be a silent auction followed by a brief program and awards ceremony. Living in the City will end around 9pm. There will be an open bar and hors d’oeuvres.
How To Get There?
If you are taking the buy viagra Metro: The Waterfront station, on the viagra Green line, is located one block East of Arena Stage at 4th and M Streets SW.
If you are driving: Street parking is limited to the southwest of Arena Stage due to construction nearby on the Wharf. Water Street is no longer available for parking. We recommend that if you plan to pursue street parking, that guests allow themselves extra time and be careful to observe parking restrictions. Parking is available for $11 at 1101 Fourth Street, SW down the street from the Metro station. Enter at 1101 Fourth St, across from the Safeway. It is a short walk around the corner to the Mead Center for American Theater at 1101 Sixth St. The lot is first-come, first-served.
What to Wear and Bring?
The attire for this is Business attire, feel free to wear what you wore to work that day!
If you registered online or through the mail, your information has been received. You do not need to bring a physical ticket. When you arrive, just mention your name at the registration table and the staff will check you in and give you a program and bid book.

What to Expect?
The registration for Living in the City will begin at 6:30pm. When you arrive, there will be a silent auction going on with exciting items, an open bar and hors d’oeuvres (including an interactive mac and cheese station!). Half way through the night the Silent Auction propecia will close and there will be an award ceremony, hosted by Kojo Nnamdi. During that time we will honor and recognize DC LISC and Polly Donaldson for their Community Leadership, Phil Hecht for his volunteer service and Lacie Green for her incredible strength, determination and commitment to family. After the awards end, there will be desserts and coffee available. Guests are welcome to stay and mingle or check out!
How to Check out?
Find out if you won an auction item by looking at the Silent Auction Winner board on your way out. If you won, simply go to the check-out table and the staff will assemble your items and process your payment. We accept cash, check and credit.
