Thanks for Your 2019 Support

On behalf of our families, thank you to all who made a donation, volunteered their time or otherwise supported Housing Up last year. Thanks to you, we:

* Served more than 700 families

* Tracked well over 1,000 volunteer hours

* Gave 800 kids a great start to their school year with backpacks and supplies

* Provided holiday gifts and toiletries to close to 1500 individuals

* Surpassed our 2019 fundraising goal by 10%

As we enter our 30th year, we are grateful for your support and belief in our mission to house families and transform lives. 

We Moved!

In the last days of 2019, we moved our headquarters from 16th Street, NW to The Parks at Walter Reed, home of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The Parks is a 66-acre redevelopment project centered between 16th Street and upper Georgia Avenue.

Housing Up partnered with the Walter Reed development team of Hines, Urban Atlantic and Triden Development Group to develop 80 units of senior housing in Abrams Hall, in addition to our new headquarters.

The Parks will feature affordable housing, retail and plenty of open space. We’re thrilled to call The Parks our new home and look forward to giving you a tour!
