Coronavirus’ Effect on Our Community
Like with many of you, coronavirus has greatly impacted Housing Up families. From job losses to food insecurity and school closures, the effects have been broad and devastating.
Thanks to your generosity last week during Giving Tuesday Now, we raised funds to secure groceries and other essentials for our families during this time of need.
But, our community members have a long road ahead of them, and they still need our help. If you are able to support our families during these unprecedented times, please click here to donate.

Volunteer Spotlight
For this month’s #VolunteerSpotlight, we’re highlighting volunteer Paige Polak! When asked what volunteering with Housing Up means to her, this is what she had to say:
“This organization allows people to get back on their feet and regain stability in their lives. I volunteer with Housing Up because it gives me the opportunity to give back to a community I reside in. Tutoring the kids has been an amazing experience which I look forward to doing every week!”

Staff Spotlight
This month, we’re introducing a #StaffSpotlight series to highlight our incredible staff, including those who’ve just joined our team & those who’ve dedicated years to Housing Up.
When we asked Sarah Jaleel, Philanthropy & Communications Associate, what impact she hopes to have on Housing Up, this is what said:
“I’m excited to use the skills I have to hopefully make a difference in our community, whether that be helping to broaden the reach of Housing Up through communications or forging relationships with new donors whose funds could provide a stable home to a hardworking and deserving family in DC.”

Wish Housing Up a Happy Birthday!
