Celebrating Women’s History Month
Happy Women’s History Month! This March, we loved lifting up the stories of incredible Black women in D.C.’s history and beyond, from Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to Secretary Marcia Fudge on social media. Check out our #WHM posts by clicking our social channels in the righthand sidebar!
In honor of Women’s History Month, we encourage our community to read & listen to the stories of the families we serve, who are overwhelmingly led by Black women. With some national data projecting that homelessness in the U.S. could rise by 49% in the next four years, it’s important we continue to support the families we serve by providing the critical services that will end family homelessness.

Missed “A Seat at the Table”? Watch the Latest Here
Earlier this month, we hosted our first “Seat at the Table” virtual event of the year alongside D.C. Safe, Suited for Change, and NNEDV. We discussed that as we are still in the midst of the pandemic, we continue to see how COVID-19 continues to disproportionately impact women of color despite efforts to return to “normal”. Missed the event? Watch our first “Seat at the Table” panel below.
If you couldn’t join us, take our brief survey to tell us what time of day you’d like us to host our next event. And, feel free to share what topics you’d like us to cover!
