Thanks to your generosity, Housing Up ended 2025 with a joyful and impactful Holiday Drive, delivering gifts to 562 children across the more than 900 families we serve. At a time when the families in our programs are facing a lot of challenges to their stability, including food insecurity due to the uncertainty around SNAP benefits, rising healthcare costs due to changes to Medicaid, and the threat of losing their housing voucher thanks to proposed cuts to permanent supportive housing, your support helped bring moments of comfort and holiday cheer to families who need it most.

This year, the Holiday Drive reached more than 218 families in our permanent supportive housing and resident services programs. We were proud to partner with 4 corporate, school, and faith-based organizations, alongside many individual donors whose generosity made this effort possible. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and remain committed to working together to meet the evolving needs of the families we serve.

Because of you:

  • 562 children across our housing programs received a holiday gift.
  • 218 Housing Up families felt the impact of your generosity.
  • 21 Housing Up case managers delivered 562 gifts directly to families.
  • 7 dedicated Housing Up “Elves” wrapped hundreds of gifts with care and holiday spirit.

Housing Up extends our sincere thanks to the following contributors to the 2025 Holiday Drive:

  • All Souls Episcopal Church
  • George Washington University (Give-a-Gift Program)
  • Edlavitch Jewish Community Center of Washington, DC
  • Winston & Strawn, LLP
  • And all of our generous individual donors
