Entering 2026 with Gratitude & Strength

The Diatta Sisters Outside of Their Family Home
As we welcome 2026, we want to thank all of you for making a meaningful impact in the lives of the families we serve. The challenges of 2025 showcased the true strength of our Housing Up community. In the face of a turbulent and uncertain local and federal landscape, our amazing community of donors, volunteers and staff remained rooted in our mission to end family homelessness in DC. From our community partners who provided Thanksgiving baskets when SNAP benefits were under threat to the committed donors who gave to our Family Stability Fund during our End-of-Year campaign, we could not do the work we do without you. While significant challenges lie ahead, we know that when we take action together, we can ensure that the more than 500 families we serve continue to reach their goals and thrive. Stay tuned in February for our rundown of the past year – and what you made possible – in our 2025 Annual Report!
We’re Growing Our Board
Our board is integral to guiding the development of affordable housing, delivering supportive services, and ensuring the long-term stability of the families we serve. At Housing Up, being a member of our board is more than a title; it’s a way to drive long-lasting change in our DC community. To meet the increased need for affordable housing in DC and advance our mission to end family homelessness, we are seeking new board members to guide us through our next chapter. If you have expertise in fundraising, social services, community development, finance, or other related fields, this is your opportunity to take the lead and make a meaningful impact when it matters most.

Thanks for Supporting our 2025 Holiday Drive!

Webster Gardens’ Holiday Party
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide gifts to 562 children this holiday season. Our 2025 Holiday Drive reached more than 218 families in our permanent supportive housing and resident services programming. At a time of great challenge for many families, your support helped bring moments of comfort and joy to those who needed it most. We also want to express our gratitude to the four community partners and countless individual donors who made our 2025 Holiday Drive possible. Click here to read our full 2025 Holiday Drive recap!
