THC Received Honorable Mention for the 2014 Washington Post Award
Yesterday, THC was recognized by
the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and The Washington Post as the 2014 Honorable Mention Recipient of The Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management.
The hallmark of
THC’s management philosophy is our openness to change – the ability to stay true to our mission and vision, but cialis and omega 3 also look outward to educate ourselves on best practices, innovations and new trends, and then apply lessons learned.
THC Executive Director, Polly Donaldson, explains that the true measure of THC’s work is what we do “to change and effect the family homelessness system in DC – to insure there are always viagra price sufficient resources for the housing services that are matched to the assessed needs of the families”.
The Center’s Selection Committee of experts was fascinated by THC’s strategic merger with THC Affordable Housing, Inc. their collaborative volunteer program with Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington, and their use of the Nonprofit Finance Fund’s Program Profitability Assessment. The application process for The Washington Post Award was a rigorous one – involving a three step judging process including a two-part written application and an intensive site visit interview. The Washington Post Award Selection Committee is an all-volunteer committee selected by the Center for Nonprofit Management.
We are thankful to the Washington Post and the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, as well as the award sponsors, Capitol One Bank the Rotary Club of Washington DC and Your Part-Time Controller. This was an amazing opportunity to analyze our management methods and to think about not only what we do, but how we do it.
