This year, at our annual benefit Living in the City, we debuted a new video, “Why Our Work Matters”. The video features two of our board members, Iyon Johnson and Rene Petaway. Both Iyon and Rene have experienced homelessness, but found housing stability through Housing Up. Their stories are inspirations to us all and proof that, with hard work and a little support, every family has a chance to thrive in Washington, DC.
