As students in Housing Up’s programs return to school this fall, our 2022 Back to School Drive aimed to provide each student with a new backpack filled with supplies for a successful school year. With the help of our generous partners and donors, we assembled and distributed over 800 backpacks. Every school-age child in our permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing and affordable housing programs who needed a backpack of school supplies received one, an impact that reached nearly 750 households across DC.

We’d like to offer a special thank you to SC Y-CORPS, Urban-Atlantic Development Company, Children’s National Hospital, and our other volunteers for helping to pack hundreds of backpacks during the Drive. You make this work possible!
