Planned Giving
Leave a Legacy of Lasting Stability
Planned giving is a meaningful way to create lasting change for families. You can give the gift of long-term stability in several ways, including bequests and IRA gifts (Qualified Charitable Distributions).
Please consult with your financial advisor and then contact Christina Peay at cpeay@housingup.org or 202.291.5535 ext. 414.
Legal Name: Transitional Housing Corporation
Federal Tax ID (EIN): 52-1675958
Mailing Address: 1322 Main Drive NW, Abrams Hall, Washington, DC 20012
Bequests
Naming Housing Up as a beneficiary of your will, trust, or other estate plans ensures your legacy of giving continues for years to come. You can designate a specific percentage, dollar amount, or the remainder of your estate to Housing Up.
Gift Language:
“I give and devise to Housing Up, (Tax ID #52-1675958), located in Washington, DC, the sum of $__/__% of my estate/the remainder of my estate to be used for its general support (or a specific program).”
IRAs
If you are 70 1/2 years old or over, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA directly to Housing Up can be a great way to give. Ask your tax advisor about the tax benefits of QCD gifts.
