Back to School Drive is Here!
Your support during last year’s Back to School Drive helped us bridge the digital divide for our families and allowed us to successfully transition our tutoring program online. Since October 2020, we’ve held 585 hours of virtual tutoring, bringing together nearly 70 tutors and students.
As we help the children we serve transition out of the virtual classroom and back into safe, in-person learning this fall, we want to ensure all children have what they need to thrive. Our Back to School Drive will provide a backpack full of school supplies to each of the 1,400 children and teens we serve.
This year’s Drive will primarily operate out of our Amazon and Target registries. You can also make a monetary donation to our Drive and donate new backpacks and school supplies by contacting our Manager of Volunteer Programs & Community Engagement, Dillon Ficca, to arrange a drop-off.
Thanks for helping make this school year a great one!

Save the Date: Living in the City
Our most important fundraiser, Living in the City, is happening on October 5th! We’re so excited to see you (virtually) to celebrate our families & reflect on Housing Up’s accomplishments of the past year – ones that you made possible.
Save the date & visit our website to register and for more information about sponsorship opportunities. We can’t wait to see you there!

Celebrating Pride Year-Round
June marks Pride Month, an opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to celebrate how far we have come, to recognize the challenges the community continues to face, and to further the fight for equal rights. We have recently seen a rise in anti-trans legislation, intended to limit healthcare access to trans youth and prevent young people from living authentically. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the already disproportionate number of LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness.
Consider a donation this month (and throughout the year) to local organizations serving LGBTQ+ folks, and visit their websites to learn more about how you can get involved:
