You Made a Difference in 2022
Happy 2023! We want to thank our community for their support in 2022, which allowed us to continue serving nearly 900 vulnerable families in Washington, DC across our four housing programs. Since 1990, we’ve helped homeless and at-risk families thrive by providing deeply affordable housing and opportunities for the entire family.
Because of you, Housing Up is an integral part of the solution to end family homelessness and increase DC’s affordable housing stock. As we walk into this new year, we want to share the impact you’ve made on the families we serve through Housing Up’s 2022 Annual Report.

Thank you for supporting our 2022 Holiday Drive!
With your help, Housing Up ended 2022 with a successful Holiday Drive, raising more than $6,000 to support vulnerable families. This year’s drive served more than 260 families in our permanent supportive housing and resident services programs. We saw support from 7 corporate, nonprofit, and faith-based partners and more than 20 individual donors.
We’re so grateful to all who contributed to this year’s drive and we are excited to continue partnering with you to meet the needs of the families we serve.
Because of you:

We Broke Ground on The Faircliff!
On January 18, Housing Up, in partnership with Somerset Development Company and Jonathan Rose Companies, broke ground on The Faircliff, a 125-unit affordable housing project in Ward 1. This project, along with a 197-unit market rate development next door, will replace the former 80-unit Faircliff Plaza East apartment complex, quadrupling the total number of housing units on site.
The Faircliff includes 80 affordable replacement units for former Faircliff Plaza East residents as well as 45 new affordable units available to households with income at or below 50% of Area Median Income.
