- What is Virginia Williams?
VW is the central point of intake for families experiencing homelessness in the District. Families can go to VW for preventative and emergency services. - What services are offered at VW?
VW is not a shelter. Families needing emergency assistance are assessed to determine their needs. Eligible families can then receive prevention resources or temporary emergency shelter. - Who is considered homeless?
Families experiencing homelessness must complete an assessment to determine their needs and appropriate resources. VW will work with the family to support them in moving into safe and stable housing as quickly as possible. - When can I go to VW?
VW is open Monday – Thursday from 8:30 AM- 4 PM and on Friday from 8:30 AM- 12 PM.
