WHY I GIVE: EVA
Housing Up is excited to introduce “Why I Give”, a spotlight series on our monthly donors. Learn who they are and about their motivations to give. Recurring donations offer support to the families we serve and gives Housing Up the gift of long-term planning. With monthly funds from generous supporters like you, we can commit to new and exciting projects that benefit our clients, knowing we have recurring revenue to support them.
Tell me a bit about your journey with us at Housing Up and why you got involved.
Supporting efforts in housing has always been a priority for me. As a psychologist, I am deeply aware of the importance of housing vulnerable persons. Stable housing is the most effective interventions in supporting mental and physical health. Housing Up works with some of our most vulnerable populations – families – and being able to support them in these dark times is really meaningful to me.
What made you want to become a recurring, monthly donor to Housing Up?
Honestly, at this moment, there is little we can control. It feels so meaningful to be able to give in a way that you can concretely know makes a difference in the lives around you. Being a recurring donor to Housing Up is one of my comforts in these moments. 100% would recommend!
