Join us for “The Education Gap & Low-Income Students of Color”
Access to high-quality education has long been an issue for communities of color. While the shift to virtual learning in 2020 was necessary for many reasons, it resulted in students from low-income DC families falling further behind in their studies than classmates with access to more resources. As students return to the classroom, how can we help them navigate the widening education gap?
Join our virtual discussion on the education landscape, challenges faced by at-risk students, and the roles we can play in improving the learning experience for all DC students.

Speakers:
Ashley Jeffrey, Director of Special Projects at Washington Leadership Academy
Carla Watson, Chief Program Officer at Higher Achievement
Phyllis Jordan, FutureEd Editorial Director & Housing Up Board of Directors
Moderated by Christina Peay, Housing Up VP of Philanthropy & Communications
