As you may know, family homelessness is on the rise in DC. From 2013 to 2014, the number of homeless families increased by 20% in Washington, DC. The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness (TCP) recently shared their analysis of the data collected on families during the 2013-2014 Hypothermia Season. This season lasts from mid-November to mid-April and is a time of year when DC government agencies are mandated to provide housing in compliance with the Homeless Services Reform Act of 2005 (HSRA). Every September, plavix the Interagency Council on Homelessness creates a plan to ensure that those without homes can be protected from the winter weather. This often
involves the 1Z0-311 exams collaboration of local shelters, hotels, warming centers, government agencies and more to make sure that everyone is safe during the colder parts of the year.
During the 2013-2014 winter season, 1,722 families sought services at the Virginia Williams Family Resource Center, the
central intake center for homeless families in Washington, DC. Of that, 643 families were without a safe place to stay at the time of their visit. The majority of families (56%) coming from other housing programs came from other emergency shelters, followed by 28% that 1Z0-311 exams came from Transitional Housing. The remaining families came from Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program over two years (9%), Short Term Exit Assistance Program or Family Rehousing and Stabilization Program (5%) and Permanent Supportive Housing (1%).
This information is important to
housing providers, like THC because it helps us to know whether families experiencing homelessness in DC are being matched with the housing and services that best meet their needs to enable long-term housing stability. This data shows that Permanent Supportive Housing and Rapid Rehousing effectively provided families with the support that they need to maintain stable housing during the 2013-2014 hypothermia propecia body hair season.
